The Harper’s Offer

It is a bit of a cliché within franchising to say that “we will only succeed if you succeed”however it only became a cliché because it is true. That being the case we are very particular about whom we will grant our franchises to and we are 100% committed to helping them to create a successful brand and as a result increase our network of restaurants.

Our initial and ongoing support is extensive and will encompass all of the following;

We will start by giving you a clear definition of the criteria that we look for in a restaurant to include size, layout and location.
Based on our criteria, we will work with you in order to find a suitable site and using our experience of ‘what works’will assess the site’s viability and approve the location as suitable for your restaurant.
We will draw up a preliminary layout for the restaurant from which your design team can finalise a detailed plan and obtain any change of use certificates, planning permissions, building warrants, completion certificates and comply with all the Health & Safety legislation.

What we at Harper’s are looking for

You will have realised by now that the Harper’s brand is very important to us and therefore we are very careful in our choice of franchise partners. We may well be working together over the next ten years or even longer so it is important for both us and you to ensure that we get the ‘fit’ right.
Whilst we will carefully consider all applications to own a Harper’s outlet we have a clear vision of the criteria that we will look for in both the location of our Harper’s restaurants as well as in our prospective franchisees.

Although we are happy to consider individuals who only wish to open one restaurant, we are particularly interested in those people whose ambition extends to operating across multiple sites and owning a substantial number of Harper’s outlets.

Initial Franchise Fee £25,000 (less deposit paid)
Management Service Fee at 6% of turnover

We estimate that the total capital required in order to purchase and set up a Harper’s franchise excluding working capital will be in the range of £226,000 (for a food court located outlet) – £378,000 (for a stand- alone restaurant)

We have excellent relationships with all the major High Street Banks that, subject to status will provide funding of between 50%-70% of the required capital.
